Evangelical Lutheran Church
St. Juergen Holtrop

About us

This, then, is how you ought to regard us:
as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the mysteries God has revealed.
1 Corinthians 4:1

Our Congregation

We are a parish of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hanover, belonging to the Conference of Aurich within the region of East Frisia (Sprengel Ostfriesland).
Our congregation consists of approximately 2100 members living in four villages: Holtrop, Akelsbarg, Felde, and Wrisse.

Here you can find us on the map.

Pastors

Bild Pastor Andreas Chrzanowski
Having served our congregation for 18 years, Pastor Andreas Chrzanowski and Pastor Viola Chrzanowski have taken leave from our congregation in order to take up new calls in Hanover.

We are currently in the call process and hope to have a new pastor before too long.

1 Corinthians 3

St. Paul writes:

I planted the seed, Apollos watered it,
but God has been making it grow.

So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything,
but only God, who makes things grow.
The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose,
and they will each be rewarded according to their work.

For we are God's fellow-workers;
you are God's field, God's building.
